Palestinian cease fire falling apart

[Mewnews, November 26] - The Palestinian-Israeli cease fire announced last night appears to be falling apart, if it ever existed. At least five Qassam rockets fell in the Negev this morning.

 

Previously, Aaron Lerner of IMRA News Service www.imra.org.il had interviewed an unnamed Israeli government official who had stated:

"The ceasefire covers all terror activities including the manufacture of
rockets"

 

However, Lerner had also interviewed a PLO WAFA News Agency person who was unclear about whether or not the cease fire covers manufacture of rockets:

 

IMRA contacted the Gaza Strip offices of WAFA, the PLO news agency, with
questions about the ceasefire, this morning.

A "news source" replied to IMRA's questions (in English):

Q: I have a question about the ceasefire.

A: Yes.

Q:  Does this ceasefire include a halt to smuggling from Sinai and a halt to
the production of rockets inside the Gaza Strip?

A: They don't mention that.  The smuggling.  But I think they have to
respect it.

Q: What does that mean?

A: I don't know.  The Israelis - they did not mention that.

Q: What about the factories inside the Gaza Strip.  Are they supposed to
stop?

A: They are not factories.  They are small workshops.

Q: So the small workshops.  Are they supposed to stop assembling rockets or
they can continue?

A:  They are private workshops.

Q: So they can continue assembling.

A: I don't know.   Don't think so.

Q: Is the statement that was put out clear or it. . .

A: It did not mention that.

Q: What?

A: Did not mention that.

Q: It did not mention that.

A: Yes.

 

The cease fire apparently does not cover smuggling of weapons into Gaza.
