Palestinian Authority distorts Obama speech into racist apartheid harangue

All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer.
Not everyone understood that. According to the official PLO WAFA news agency, Palestinian Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeina :
...pointed [out] that the US President's call for Israel to stop colonization and for establishing a Palestinian state, and that Jerusalem is for Muslims and Christians...
Perhaps something got lost in the translation, due to cultural differences.

So often it seems that Pres. Obama has caught the Washington political disease of either being, or at least appearing to be, somehow isolated from public response to his latest big message to the world. Bush had it especially bad. In his case, I always believed it was a matter of only hearing what he wanted to hear, and/or, what his bosses allowed him to hear.
I hope, for the world's sake, Pres. Obama pays attention and finally begins to get a real understanding of what type of human these Palestinians truly are. This is not the place for positive thinking. Only when our American President gets an inkling of what the Israelis have known and suffered all along, will he finally come down on the correct, logical side.
No American president will ever bring peace to the Middle East. It will be a sad awakening for him, but it will test his mettle, and either make him stronger and wiser, or break him leaving him another Jimmy Carter. The oddest thing is, as brilliant as he seems to be, that he could harbor such childish and Pollyanna-ish ideals in the face of modern history, history he couldn't have ignored all this time.
I think he thinks he's smarter than the Arabs while at the same time, they believe the opposite. We'll see. Maybe then, he'll get off the backs of the Israeli people, and get with the program - whatever that may be. Oh, and fix our problems at home, instead of playing Buck Rogers, Saver of Worlds and throwing what is left of our money at those who spit on it.
