How many Jews in America and does it matter?

Dec 27, 2010
The embarrassing truth is, we do not know precisely how many Jews there are in the United States, and we may never find out. Ordinarily, we take population statistics and demography for granted and place implicit trust in the numbers presented by august institutions, but several different demographers disagree about how many Jews there are in the United States.

A small victory over Seattle anti-Israel ads

Dec 24, 2010
Israel advocacy activists experienced the unaccustomed flush of victory after Seattle authorities decided not to run some obnoxious ads alleging Israeli war crimes and to review their policy regarding non-commercial advertising (see What to do about those anti-Israel bus ads). The ads were placed by a local Hamas groupie named Ed Mast, to advocate against U.S. foreign aid to Israel. This local issue became important when anti-Israel activist Cindy Corrie urged people to campaign in support of the ads.

What to do about those anti-Israel Seattle bus ads

Dec 22, 2010
An anti-Israel “organization,” the “Seattle Mideast Awareness Campaign,” is about to run some advertisements about Israeli “war crimes” on public transportation in Seattle, Washington beginning December 27. It seems anti-Israel activist Cindy Corrie has already organized a mass mailing and phone-in favoring the ads, and other terror groupies may be doing the same thing. If you live in the USA, your help is urgently needed to counter these campaigns.

What is not Zionism??

Nov 30, 2010
A.B. Yehoshua makes some strange points in his article Zionism is not an ideology. He will be listened to, because he is an Intellectual, and because it is expedient for many people to hold similar beliefs, and because these beliefs are fashionable. However, it seems clear that he is wrong about key ideas. It is worthwhile dissecting his philosophy, because it encapsulates a way of thinking about Zionism and Judaism that is typical of many Israeli intellectuals.

Behind JVP and BDS

Nov 26, 2010
BDS was always about destroying Israel and never about ending the occupation. Real friends of peace in the Middle East have to be disturbed that organizations that support genocide and terror claim they are for “peace.” Here is an excellent article by Yitzhak Santis about the so-called “Jewish Voice for Peace” (JVP) and its support of the boycott divestment and sanctions” (BDS) movement.

Son of Durban returns to devour New York or ‘Let’s all fight racism’

Nov 11, 2010
If you are really concerned about human rights or Israel, you may have a unique opportunity to advance your cause.
The auspiciously titled UN sponsored “World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance” was a chance to strike a blow for decency against bigotry and fanaticism. Instead, cynical hate-mongers and their paid lackeys and dupes turned the conference into the monster known to the world as the Durban I conference. Held in September 2001, the conference was used by terror groupies as a platform to further racism, anti-Semitism. xenophobia, Israel – bashing and “related intolerance.”

Jewish causes??

Oct 28, 2010
Previously I wrote about how to beat Islamism. This subject should be of interest to everyone, and most of all to Muslims. As a topic for Israel Advocacy, it is only of peripheral interest. Yet Islam and Islamism seem to get a great deal of attention from Jewish and pro-Israel groups and authors.

Should American Jews fight anti-Muslim bigotry??

Oct 14, 2010
Should American Jews Speak out against anti-Muslim bigotry ?? Abe Foxman, head of the ADL thinks so. I am not so sure. As an Israeli, I can understand that we have to actively fight all kinds of discrimination in Israel.
